Fletcher Challenge Limited - share dealing
On 30 November 1992 the Securities Commission commenced a review of trading in the shares of Fletcher Challenge Limited on the New Zealand Stock Exchange in the preceding weeks. On 4 December 1992 the Australian Stock Exchange informed us that they had decided to undertake a view of trades in Fletcher Challenge shares on the Australian market. The Commission and the Australian Stock Exchange are co-operating in their respective reviews.
The Commission review is one of several share dealing reviews which have been undertaken in the ordinary course of our work in recent months. We have not yet completed the review and have not yet formed an opinion whether there may be any matter for comment by the Commission on dealing in Fletcher Challenge shares.
The review relates only to dealings in the company's shares and not to the conduct of the company itself.
