Commissioner Roel Campos of the United States Securities and Exchange Commission will give a guest lecture in Wellington at 4pm on 19 February 2004.

Commissioner Campos will speak on "Sarbanes Oxley and the regulatory environment in the United States".

"We are delighted to have Mr Campos in New Zealand," Jane Diplock said. "His visit offers a rare opportunity to hear at first hand about securities regulation in the United States, particularly in the wake of corporate collapses like Enron."

Telephone Nicola Ingham on (04) 472 9830 or email her at nicola.ingham@seccom.govt.nz with your name and address. She will arrange for a ticket to the Roel Campos lecture to be sent to you. There is no charge, but a ticket is required.
