AccessibilityThe Securities Commission website has been designed to include ease of access for disabled people. It has features that are aimed at people who can't read a screen clearly or not at all and those who don't use a mouse. Using the site without a mouseThe site can be used without a mouse. There are shortcut keys that will take you to commonly used pages such as the home page and the search page. The keystroke sequences follow those common to New Zealand government web sites. To use these shortcut keys hold down the ALT key (PC) or CONTROL key (Apple Macintosh) and then one of the keys in the table below. In some browsers you may have to press enter to confirm your choice. In the Opera 7 browser press Shift-Esc, release those keys, and then press your chosen access key.
Macrons on Māori vowelsThe Securities Commission's site uses macrons to represent long vowels on Māori words where appropriate. However, limited browser standardisation may prevent the accurate display of macrons.
