The Securities Commission was rated in the top 10 small workplaces in the Unlimited/JRA Best Places to Work in New Zealand Survey 2007. It was a finalist in the survey in the previous three years, coming in first in 2006 and second in 2005.

The Securities Commission's head office is in Wellington. It also has an office in Auckland.
